A Small Beginning

Something New

e much right n
I wonder what this could be?
I know that it doesn't look like much right now, but it is a small beginning to something new.Yes, it is the beginning of my newest afghan which I am making for my back porch swing. Please accept my apologies, I took this picture on my basement floor. It was late at night and my basement has the best lighting for taking pictures. I was just so anxious to post it.
ow,
but it is a small beginning to something new. You got  it, my newest afghan which I am making for my back porch swing.

Just for fun

Eventually, I will add more to this post.

Spring Ripples

I also used two strands of yarn on these two afghans. Working with two strands gives me more color and design options as opposed to using one strand.

Fall Ripples

This is one of my favorite ripples which I crocheted using two strands of yarn throughout the entire afghan. I kept this one for myself.

An Old Fashioned Granny

I crocheted this granny square afghan with some of my left over thread. I wasn't sure at first, about setting the squares in dark brown. But, once I put it all together, it turned out to be a favorite of mine.

Big Granny Squares

Big Granny:

Big Granny Square
In fact, the name of this pattern is called: Big Granny. I got this pattern from http://www.coatsandclark.com/coats/Templates/Products - Craft Of course, I used my own color scheme and had lots of fun.The pattern was very easy to follow and it made a nice gift. I do plan, in the future, to make one for myself. If you decide to try this pattern, I hope that you have as much fun as I did.

Old Fashion-Big Grannies:

I also crocheted these two granny square afghans, This is such a simple and fun loving pattern.  It can be found at this address: http://www.leisurearts.com/products/vannas-choice-color-it-beautiful-afghans.html. I also used this pattern to crochet my border.

Tinker Bell

Simply put: I crocheted this afghan with Tinker Bell in mind.
It is comprised of granny squares sewn together.

 Summer Breeze

This afghan reminds me of a cool, crisp summer day
with  a soft breeze gently blowing.
I crocheted this afghan using two strands of yarn.
It was given to one of my daughters as a gift.
